SAVOY 100 HARLEM!
Centennial Celebration
and Reunion

The Harlem Renaissance gave us one venue in particular that played a pivotal role in shaping this artistic movement:
The Savoy Ballroom
Its doors first opened on March 12, 1926,
marking the start of a legendary era...
The Savoy Ballroom served as one of Harlem’s premier venues for music and dance (1926 - 1958). Its historical significance lies not only in its connection to jazz, but also where the iconic Lindy Hop dance was perfected.
Harlem's Signature Cultural Dance of the Lindy Hop
is still enjoyed all over the world - TODAY
To commemorate this historic milestone, the Savoy 100 Harlem Centennial Celebration event will shine a spotlight on the ballroom’s legacy, providing a new generation of Harlemites with the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate Harlem’s vibrant cultural history.
